Public Opening Reception Saturday, August 21, 2010
Guests of the exhibit opening browse the glasswork of Mark Joy, Alison Sheafor-Joy, Doug Sheafor, Nathan Sheafor, and Michelle Yarbrough while grazing over the spread of hors d’oeuvres. As a special opening treat, Alison performed a flamework demonstration.
Baker Backyard Blast- Saturday, June 26, 2010
Blast-goers stayed cool in the shade trees of Baker Arts Center's backyard with pink lemonade. Kids enjoyed activities from 3-6 pm. The meal at 6:00 was pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, and cookies- warm from the sun. After a short annual meeting of the membership at 7 pm, the entertainment began. Lauren Sarchet and Lori Cook opened in song for comedian Matt Jernigan for this, the membership drive kick-off event. For more information on membership, see the Membership & Volunteer page.
Over 120 guests turned out to see the Area High School Show opening on Sunday, February 28, 2010. Many of them were high school students from the area, proudly viewing their own works on display and sneaking a peek at the work of other students.
