February/March K-6th Grade Workshop

SIMPLY CERAMICS. Students will be spinning the clay learning to throw on the potter's wheel and rolling out slabs and coils to create their ceramic forms. Tools and fingers add texture and decoration to the pieces with the final glaze firing adding the color and shine. This is a two-month long workshop to allow for the drying and firing time of the work.

Class meets from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on
Wednesday, February 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and March 7, 21, and 28
OR
Friday, February 3, 10, 17, 24, and March 2, 9, 23, 30

February Preschool Workshop

SQUISH AND SMASH. Small fingers will squish and roll textured play doughs and air-dry clays to create their 3-dimensional shapes. Finger plays and ribbon dancers in time to music will keep things moving to round out the arts experience.

Class meets Wednesday, February 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

March Preschool Workshop

BUILDING BLOCKS. Small engineers will construct sculptures from wood shapes, crumpled paper and foil, and stacking interlocking shapes. Music and movement will include marching in their own parade with rhythm instruments.

Class meets Wednesday, March 7, 21, and 28 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (No class Spring Break)
